Observe the daily mosaic of life on board the research vessel and the challenges of life at sea from the perspective of those who experience it every day. The documentary presents the research cruise of the University of Gdańsk's vessel, r/v Oceanograf, from the viewpoints of six main characters: the captain, the second officer, the mechanic, the research team leader, a student, and a writer. It delves into personal stories that illustrate the professional challenges faced by the crew, their experiences, relationships, and connection to the sea. Although the protagonists have different roles and responsibilities, they all work together to ensure the success of the BaltArctic cruise. The documentary also shows how each person, whether working below deck, on the bridge, or with research tools, is essential to achieving the shared goal of the expedition.
